May updates // 2026
And there we are again, a month has passed and I’m contemplating what I’ve achieved in awe. I’m no Wonder Woman, but sometimes I have the feeling that I can do it all. Do you sometimes get that too? Allez, let’s go for the monthly recap’.
Running updates
I ran my monthly 10k race in 1h21 this time. That’s four minutes less than last month, and I’m super proud of it. That’s also my second medal of the year. You’d think I did a half marathon but no, it was just a 10k, haha. They simply didn’t have the budget to design another medal for 10k runners.
About a month ago, I had a car accident. And when I say ‘car accident’, I wasn’t even in a car. I was a pedestrian walking on the pavement… A car was about to leave a car park and stopped before the pavement. I thought they’d seen me, so I continued. But no, the car pulled away and hit my left leg before realizing I was in front of them. The driver was completely shocked, they really hadn’t seen me in my bright blue raincoat. I should have at least taken a picture of their number plate but I was late to pick up my son from school…
Anyway, I can still walk. I even ran two races on that leg. It doesn’t hurt, but I recently realized I still feel some sort of discomfort after a month. So I decided to go check with my doctor to see if there’s anything. Should have done that a month ago, I know. I’ll update you when I know what’s going on.
Once Upon a Sky updates
Get the first two chapters by subscribing to my newsletter
If you’re subscribed to my newsletter, I’ve just sent you the first two chapters of my upcoming middle-grade novel. I’m sooo excited by that, you can’t even imagine. I’m one step closer to my book baby being published, and I literally cannot wait for you all to meet Max and Ruhtra. So yeah, if you’d like to get those first chapters, go subscribe to my newsletter!
Editing phase
I completed a first pass (partial edits) over the whole manuscript and I’ve completely done 3 chapters out of 26. I intend on finishing the edits by the end of June, and use July as a buffer before the line edits so I can maybe re-read the book. I think it’s going well on that front, I’m pretty happy.
Still on time for a November release.
