November updates // 2026

30 October 2026

First thing in the morning, every morning, my 4-year-old hops on the couch to read books. He recently told me he likes discovering new pages he hasn’t read yet, that’s one of the many reasons he loves books so much. I thought that was a cute way to start this new journal entry: with the positivity and cuteness of a child.

Book news: Once Upon a Sky

Line edits: 1,668 changes validated, 5,383 to go.

In November, I am invited to a local Book Fair as an author. During that event, I’ll be revealing the cover for Once Upon a Sky, as well as opening the preorders. I hope you’re ready, because it’s happening very very soon. Of course, I’ll share the cover and preorder links on here too. Just stay tuned ;)

Life updates

You may have noticed a lack of life updates last month. Honestly I hadn’t had the heart to tell you what was happening because it was so fresh. Now I’m ready to give you that dire update: I have been laid off of my web design role. Whether it’s due to bad economics or AI or both, I can’t really say. What I do know is that this day and age are tough on everyone, not just me. I just hope I’ll be able to find a new design role somewhere I like.

That’s it for the November news. Over to you ;)
