Would you like a small cover reveal?

calendar outlineApril 22, 2026

I felt extremely excited when I saw the cover for Once Upon A Sky. So I thought I’d do a small cover reveal before the full cover reveal in August. Are you ready?

That cover has been made by French illustrator Florian Garbay. He’s made incredible covers throughout the years and I’ve worked with him through Reedsy. I literally cannot wait for you to see the full cover this coming August. If you don’t want to miss it, you can subscribe to my newsletter ;)

In the meantime, you can now add Once Upon A Sky on Goodreads. Doing it would help you by getting it on your TBR. But it would also help me, knowing people are actually looking forward to read it. That’s your cue, hahaha.

Oh, and because I don’t want to leave you in the dark, I’m currently working on the back cover copy. It’s the text on the back of a physical copy that’s supposed to attract readers into the story. So, here’s the first version :

He needs to tame his wild imagination.
She wants to be the best knight.
Can he let himself believe long enough to help her?

Twelve years old Maxwell struggles at home within his newly formed family. His mother favors Lizzie, his stepsister, who seems better at everything. She doesn’t care that he has become more down-to-earth to improve his grades, even as he dreams of orange irises and castles made of clouds every single night.

Ruhtra is a failed squire in charge of the princess’ safety. When she goes missing and as a mysterious disease spreads, Ruhtra uncovers a plot that might just help her keep her head on her shoulders. Will she be brave enough to fight for what is right?

When Ruhtra crashes through Max’s window on a bird, he can’t believe what he sees: what if everything he had ever imagined was true?

I’ve got a second version:

He needs to tame his wild imagination.
She wants to be the best knight.
What if everything he had ever imagined was true?

Twelve-year-old Maxwell struggles at home within his newly formed family. His mother favors Lizzie, his stepsister, who seems better at everything. She doesn’t care that he suppressed his imagination just to improve his grades, even as he dreams of orange irises and castles made of clouds every single night.

When a princess goes missing from Castle Duolc and as a mysterious disease spreads, Max teams up with Ruhtra, a tiny bird rider, to uncover a plot that might just save everyone they love. Can he let himself believe long enough to help her?

I honestly don’t know which one is better… I have up until mid-July to nail it, haha. What do you think? I’d be happy to have your opinion.
